There are a variety of workshops coming up in April that Colleagues can book onto via MyView, we hope you find a session to enhance your Learning and Development.

Monday 28 April – 10am – 12pm – Brayford Campus – PDR Reviewer
The PDR reviewer sessions aim to provide reviewers with training on the conversational aspect of the PDR and overarching principles of the scheme. The session will enable you to conduct effective PDR conversations with confidence whilst understanding your responsibilities as a reviewer and those of your reviewee. The session will also cover other key management skills such as feedback, recognition and SMART objective setting.
Thursday 29 April – 1.30pm – 4.30pm – Brayford campus – Emotional Intelligence as a Manager
The session will look at how managers can understand Emotional Intelligence in more detail and how this can play a part in being an effective manager. The session will include reflective practice providing an opportunity for managers to consider how they are implementing strategies and techniques for being more emotionally intelligent.
Wednesday 30 April – 9.30am – 12pm – Lawress Hall – Understanding Dyslexia
This training is supported by case studies and workshop activities during which each delegate will learn to:
– Better understand the needs of learners with Dyslexia.
– Create appropriate age and level appropriate visual, kinaesthetic and phonetic interventions.
– Effectively intervene to empower the learners to enhance their reading, spelling and writing skills.
