Academic paper accepted for publication in the Human Resource Management Journal (ABS 4*)
Congratulations to Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, an Associate Professor at the Lincoln International Business School, on the acceptance of his article titled “Mitigating Algorithmic Bias in Human Resource Management: Enhancing Strategic Effectiveness with AI-Driven HR Practices” in the Human Resource Management Journal (ABS 4*). Dr. Rahman, alongside his colleagues Ruwan J. Bandara, Kumar Biswas, Shahriar Akter, and Sujana Shafique, explored the dimensions of HR algorithmic bias management capability and its impact on the strategic HR effectiveness of organisations.
Dr. Rahman noted that while AI and machine learning algorithms are revolutionising the modern workplace and improving HR functionalities to achieve superior outcomes for both employees and organisations, research shows that these algorithms often fail to provide optimal HR solutions. This limitation is predominantly due to the biases frequently embedded in the algorithms.
