PDR Scheme for 25-26 is Now Open!

posted by Olivia Warbey | 23/05/2025

The Performance & Development Review (PDR) is the appraisal scheme for Professional Service Colleagues once they have passed probation. The scheme for 2025-26 is now open and you can access the PDR site by clicking here and start your reflections of last year and drafting your objectives for the new academic year.

During this time where we continue to experience change, PDRs play a vital role in providing an opportunity for colleagues and managers to meet to discuss the previous year’s objectives and performance and also look to set new objectives that are aligned with the University’s strategy. By having open communication and regular feedback, PDRs support a collaborative environment where expectations are clearly defined and met.

Training is available to book via My View: https://hr.lincoln.ac.uk/hrselfservice/ for both Reviewers and Reviewees and is aimed at supporting the conversational aspect of the PDR scheme. For reviewers, the training is focused on making conversations count, conducting effective PDRs and the performance progress ratings. For reviewees, focusing on making the most of their PDR, understanding the ratings and maximising the benefits. Please note that if you are a new manager, you must attend the reviewers training before conducting PDRs and we would encourage any existing managers to engage with a refresher if you haven’t completed the training in the last 2 years.

The PDR handbook is also available for both reviewers and reviewees around the principles, process, responsibilities, and top tips.
