Armed Forces Week 2025

Armed Forces Week is a national celebration running from 22 to 28 June, culminating in special events across the country on Saturday 28 June.

At the University of Lincoln, we proudly support our Armed Forces community through a range of initiatives:

Our Ongoing Commitment includes:
– We actively support the recruitment and retention of both regular and reservist personnel

– Our careers services highlight the Armed Forces as a valuable and rewarding career option for students

– We provide flexibility and recognition for those colleagues who serve as Reservists alongside their civilian roles

– We understand the unique challenges faced by military families and offer inclusive support

– Distance Learning Provider: We are proud to offer flexible learning options tailored to the needs of Armed Forces personnel

Community Engagement
We sponsor the Community Fan Zone at Lincoln City FC and host awareness events with the Royal Anglian Regiment. Armed Forces representatives regularly attend student events, and guest lectures by Forces personnel enrich our academic and civic life. We also honour distinguished ex-service members through University awards.

Gold Standard Recognition
We are proud holders of the Gold Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme — first awarded in 2018 and re-awarded in 2023 — a testament to our sustained commitment to the Armed Forces community.
