Admissions Workshop
Admissions Workshops give Admissions Tutors an overview of the University’s admission processes and an update of the changes occurring nationally within Higher Education.
Topics to be covered:
• The Admissions team and their roles
• The University’s admissions policies
• The UCAS calendar
• Qualifications, the UCAS tariff (old and new) and non standard applicants
• Qualification reforms in the UK
• Entry requirements and target setting
• The application process
• Interviewing and feedback
• Clearing
• Statistical information available to tutors
Target Audience: The session is primarily aimed at undergraduate Admissions Tutors who are new to the UCAS application cycle. Academic and support staff currently involved in the admissions process are encouraged to attend as a refresher.
