Senior Leader Master’s Degree Apprenticeship (SLMDA) – Applications Open
Applications are now being invited for The Senior Leader Master’s Degree Apprenticeship (SLMDA) which is a higher-level degree apprenticeship that is pitched at Level 7 and includes business education, work-based learning, and professional development through to Chartered Manager status. The SLMDA involves studying for a degree, a CMI Diploma in Strategic Leadership, building a portfolio and undertaking an Independently assessed End Point Assessment. The closing date is the 1st April 2020, with interviews held up to the 3rd April.
The SLMDA is underpinned by the MBA Leadership and is built around a programme of development suited to becoming a strategic leader and manager. The programme aims to develop a critical appreciation of the issues and complexities in the present and future business environment and the need for strategies of sustainability in business and society.
The SLMDA is suitable for those who are, or wish to become, professional managers, i.e. people that take strategic responsibility for projects, people, operations, and services to deliver long term organisational success. The Master’s has been designed for as wide a range of individuals as possible, including those who aspire to become professional managers and achieve Chartered Manager status, as well as existing managers for whom the apprenticeship will provide significant new knowledge, skills and behaviours
As an Apprenticeship there is a requirement for 20% of your work time being dedicated to on the job training, employer approval and the provision of a work based mentor to work closely with you and your Portfolio Support Tutor. Usually taught through a blended learning approach, the SLMDA is currently being delivered online and commences on 6th May 2020.
