Students who are interested in running their own business, or who are interested in any type of self-employment can find out more about this at the annual Student Enterprise Conference.

The conference will include workshops, networking and an inspirational keynote speaker to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in our students.

The event will feature a keynote speech by Simon Duffy MBE, founder of Bulldog skincare. Simon went from student to accounting to being the CEO of one of the largest male skincare brands. Simon will be sharing his experiences and giving some great ideas on how students can become entrepreneurs.

The day will start with an introduction to the conference from Reece Leggett, Student Enterprise Co-ordinator at the University of Lincoln, UK, who said:

“We are delighted to host our Student Enterprise Conference again this year, this year students will hear from a range of experts about how to start or grow their business.

“The conference will also provide an opportunity for students to network with peers, as well as interact with people who have been able to build a successful business.

“We are thrilled to welcome Simon Duffy MBE, founder of Bulldog skincare and Waken mouthcare, to deliver a keynote address. Ultimately, we hope that a key takeaway for attendees will be to learn how they can get their business off the ground, access resources and tools that will help them succeed, and have fun while doing it!”

The conference will also feature a marketing and branding workshop, and a chat with successful business owners about their experiencing of running a business.

The Student Enterprise Conference will take place on 22 February 2023 and will be held at the Engine Shed on Brayford Pool Campus, Lincoln
