Teaching and Professional Practice Induction
From September 2023, LALT will introduce a new teacher-focussed induction package for all new academic Colleagues at the University.
This programme is designed to complement the Lincoln Welcome, as an intensive set of CPD sessions, supporting new Teaching and Professional Practice Colleagues to ‘get going’ when delivering in teaching spaces.
The programme has been designed as two days of CPD and networking opportunities for staff, delivered by LALT and colleagues from across the institution. The induction programme provides an introduction to teaching and learning at Lincoln, explored though core themes to support their localised induction delivered by their School/Department.
Designed to run like a conference, this essential CPD will cover Staff Development, Personal Tutoring Training, Student as Producer, Navigating Institutional Practice, the Students’ Union, Active Learning in the Classroom, Decolonisation, Student Wellbeing, Technology Enhanced Learning, Embedding Employability in Your Curriculum, Inclusive Practice, Quality, Assessment practice and Teaching International Students.
Colleagues are asked to encourage their new team members onto the induction programme as part of their probation and development when joining the University.
