Data Protection Awareness

This session will provide you with a succinct, yet comprehensive overview of data protection and information compliance. After completing the session, you will have a theoretical grounding and the practical knowledge to successfully apply data protection and information compliance in your daily work.

The session includes the following main elements:

– Key definitions
– Data Protection principles
– Legal bases for processing
– Key concepts
– Transferring and sharing data
– Records and data retention
– Commonly used tools and templates
– Practical everyday tips for applying data protection to your work.

It is advised that staff complete the mandatory online module for Data Protection Act and Information Security prior to attending this session.
