Introducing Chief People Officer, Danny Griffiths
Danny Griffiths has joined the University of Lincoln as our new Chief People Officer (CPO).
As CPO, Danny leads the People, Performance and Culture (PPC) directorate and serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Danny has held various leadership positions in major organisations spanning technology, automotive, defence, and retail sectors, covering diverse disciplines including HR, procurement and organisational development / transformation.
He spent the largest part of his career with the Nissan motor organisation, living overseas in several countries for more than 10 years and amongst other roles was Vice President of HR for Africa, Middle East, India & Europe.
Prior to joining the University, he was Executive Human Resources Director for the Ministry of Defence, reporting into the Cabinet Office, and Chief People Officer for BRITISHVOLT, an electric vehicle battery start-up.
Danny, who started in post at Lincoln earlier this month, is MCIPS qualified, a Professor in Practice at Durham University, an Advisory Board Member (HR, Governance & Procurement) for an electric aerospace/aviation start-up (ELECTRON) and a Board Advisor (People & Culture) for a built environmental professional services company (Rolton Group).
He will help to deliver contemporary practice and evolve our thinking about the most important part of our organisation – our people. A key part of this will be to consider how we attract, retain and develop our people and how we drive organisational performance.
The University’s People and Culture Strategy is one of the key supporting strategies of the University’s 2022-2027 strategic plan.
