Prevent Training – Wednesday 5 June

A session which is part of the governments overall counter-terrorism strategy to be able to safeguard and support and know what interventions and support is available.
Management Engagement Group – Wednesday 5 June
2.30pm – 4pm – LWH1116, Lawress Hall Meeting Room, Riseholme Campus
The sessions will be focused on sharing best practice on how to support teams through the change programme.
Emotional Resilience during Change – Monday 10 June
2pm – 4pm – MB1019, Minerva Building, Brayford Campus
How to improve emotional resilience of staff, reduce rates of absence through sickness & stress, improve productivity, communication & morale.
PDR Reviewer Training – Monday 10 June
10.30am – 12.30pm, LWH1116, Lawress Hall Meeting Room, Lawress Hall
This session aims to provide reviewers with training on the conversational aspect of the PDR and overarching principles of the scheme.
PDR Reviewee – Tuesday 11 June
10.30am – 12.30pm – MB3203, Minerva Building, Brayford Campus
The session aims to enable you to lead your PDR meeting with confidence, whilst understanding your responsibilities as a reviewee and those of your reviewer.
Handling Challenging Conversations – Tuesday 11 June
1.30pm – 4.30pm – MB3202, Minerva Building, Brayford Campus
This session is suitable for Colleagues involved in customer service roles, who are potentially student facing, supervisors or line managers where someone needs to manage expectations of colleagues.
Interview Skills – Friday 14 June

This practical workshop will provide colleagues with an opportunity to practice interview skills in a safe environment and with feedback provided.
Management Essentials: Resilience – Monday 17 June
1.30pm – 3.30pm – LWH1116, Lawress Hall Meeting Room, Riseholme Campus
This bite sized session will help Line Managers gain a better understanding of what resilience is and why it matters. Focusing on the current change programme at the university. It will support you in developing ways to build personal and team resilience.
Customer Service Skills – Tuesday 18 June
9.30am – 1.30pm – LWH1116, Lawress Hall Meeting Room, Riseholme Campus
The workshop will look at effective forms of communication, active listening, building empathy and rapport and finally looking at steps to diffuse a customer’s anger.
Carbon Literacy Training – Tuesday 18 June
10am – 3pm – LMS0011, Lincoln Medical School, Brayford Campus
Following completion of the training, attendees should:
– Better understand how climate change will affect them.
– Be able to effectively communicate the impacts of climate change.
– Have knowledge and skills to lower their carbon footprint.
– Make a pledge to change an element of behaviour or to implement an action that will result in tangible carbon savings.
Emotional Intelligence – Thursday 20 June

Emotional Intelligence is a skill. It allows you to read the style of individuals and adjust your communications accordingly. Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognise our behaviour, moods, and impulses to manage them in a positive way so that we can communicate effectively, empathise with others, manage stress, overcome challenging situations, and defuse conflict.
Colleague Engagement Group – Tuesday 25 June
10.30am – 11.30am – LWH1116, Lawress Hall Meeting Room, Riseholme Campus
This series of colleague engagement groups are aimed at any individuals wishing to seek support in relation to the ongoing University change programme. The Organisational Development and Talent team will be on hand to signpost colleagues to more relevant support and offer advice on dealing with demanding situations.
Personal Development – Friday 28 June
10.30am – 11.30am – MB3202, Minerva Building, Brayford Campus
A session for any professional service colleagues wishing to look at compiling a personal development plan or identifying skills gaps.
