On 12 October, Gary Rawnsley, Head of the School of Social and Political Sciences and Professor of Public Diplomacy, participated in a show broadcast by Taiwan’s international television channel TaiwanPlus.

The broadcast, part of the series Connected with Divya Gopalan was designed to coincide with National Day celebrations in Taiwan, and Gary joined with Professor James Lee from Taiwan’s Academia Sinica to consider questions around sovereignty, public diplomacy, and Taiwan’s absence from international organisations.

Gary also discussed China’s so-called Wolf Warrior diplomacy and how the PRC’s more assertive international behaviour impacts on Taiwan. You can watch the programme via YouTube by following this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOx-1HZlU5s
