Development Economics Professor to speak at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade
A Development Economics Professor at the University of Lincoln has been invited to be a key speaker at a prestigious international conference in India.
Prof. Shrabani Saha will be delivering her speech at the International Conference on Empirical Issues in International Trade and Finance, taking place at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) on 12 and 13 December 2024 in Kolkata.
Prof. Saha will be amongst several industry experts speaking to delegates on the subject of ‘Emerging Issues in International Trade and Development’ alongside experts from India, Switzerland and the UK, representing such institutes as the Indian Institute of Management, the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, and the University of Geneva.
The IIFT is an autonomous body under the Indian Ministry of Commerce and was established in 1963 to contribute to the skill-building of external trade in India. It was awarded University status in 2002 and has since become a prestigious venue for Economics and Finance Conferences.
Prof. Saha is a Professor in Development Economics at Lincoln Internation Business School (LIBS) at the University of Lincoln and has delivered many talks and lectures all over the world, most recently at Cornell University in New York State. She is also an Associate Editor of International Journal of Finance and Economics.
Speaking about the upcoming conference in India this December, she said:
