Support for April Graduation 2025 – Volunteer Ushers Needed

 posted by | 17/02/2025

The University of Lincoln’s graduation ceremonies are the highlight of the year, celebrating the dedication and achievements of our students and colleagues.

Graduation wouldn’t be possible without the support of staff ushers, who play a vital role in ensuring the event runs smoothly and safely. We are inviting colleagues to support the ceremonies taking place from Tuesday 29 April to Thursday 1 May 2025.

A range of usher roles will be available, including assisting students with gowning, directing guests to their seats, and looking after VIP attendees. Roles will be allocated across the Cathedral and Castle, with both day and evening shifts to choose from.

Before signing up, please ensure you have approval from your line manager, as the nature of the event means you will likely be unable to carry out your usual work duties while ushering.

Full event details are available via the link here www.lincoln.ac.uk/studentlife/graduation, and further information about usher roles is available on the staff portal.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please register using this form. The Graduation Team will be in touch during the week commencing 31 March with details and role assignments.

For any questions please contact ceremonies@lincoln.ac.uk.

We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you.
