Safeguarding Children and Adults at Risk

A reminder for core colleagues that you are required to attend a face-to-face training session of Safeguarding Children and Adults at Risk as soon as possible.

Some colleagues will have received reminders to refresh their training, as it has been two years since they attended the workshop. The refresher should be completed online via the eLearning Platform and not before you have received your email reminder.

Workshop Overview: The aim of this workshop is to introduce colleagues to both the Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and the Student Mental Health Policy, and explain their significance. This session does form part of your Tier 1 mandatory training programme.

Objectives:
– Understand more about the University policies and where to find them.
– Learn your responsibilities under the policies and the responsibilities of the University.
– Discover how you can help protect and support children and vulnerable adults.
– Learn to signpost students to relevant services.
– Reflect on your professional boundaries.
– Explore further training opportunities.

Note: These sessions cover sensitive topics such as forms of abuse and mental health.

Please visit MyView to reserve your space at one of the forthcoming workshops if you have not already attended the in person session, or once you have received your reminder, please log into the eLearning platform to complete your refresher module.
