Fadi Alkaraan, a colleague at Lincoln International Business School within the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities, is privileged to represent the University of Lincoln and to have been appointed Track Chair for Inclusive and Sustainable Business Models at the 23rd Sustainability International Conference, taking place in November 2025.

The conference is organised by the World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD) in partnership with the Gulf University for Science & Technology, Kuwait (11-13 November 2025). WASD and GUST invite all stakeholders including universities to join us in this global conference to explore innovative strategies, collaborative initiatives, and transformative approaches that empower educational leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to accelerate progress towards a sustainable future.
The conference aims to shine a light on the transformative power of local innovative solutions and their ability to drive progress in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This conference aspires to bring together thought leaders, innovators, policymakers, and business leaders to explore how locally driven innovations bridge the gap between local needs and global sustainability goals. The conference will focus, but not limited on the following main topics:

Fadi is a professor, currently serving as Associate Professor of Accounting, Governance, and Sustainability at the University of Lincoln. He has held several prestigious academic appointments, including Visiting Professor at EM Normandie Business School, Dubai (2023–2024); Affiliate Professor at the Gulf Finance Centre, Gulf University for Science & Technology, Kuwait (2023–2024); Affiliate Professor at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Dubai, UAE (2022–2023).
His research interests include corporate disclosure in the context of Industry 4.0 and business ecosystems, business innovation strategies, governance, and sustainability, green strategic investment decision-making in UK companies, business model transformation in large UK companies, with a focus on ecosystems, ESG, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and authored several books and book chapters.
