Counter Terrorism Preparedness session for University staff
The safety and security of our university community is paramount, and staying informed about potential threats is an essential part of our collective preparedness. To support this, we welcome Steve Gamble, Regional Police Counter Terrorism Awareness Adviser for the East Midlands, who will be delivering a session on counter terrorism preparedness and identifying potential risks.
The session is open to all, and will benefit all the University community, but particularly those who work in a student-facing roles. Attendees will gain valuable insights on counter terrorism measures, learning how to recognize and address threats effectively.

The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, also known as Martyn’s Law, will ensure the public are better protected from terrorism, by requiring certain public premises and events to be prepared and ready to keep people safe in the event of an attack.
