The workshop will look at techniques of assertiveness and when to use them and understanding our own triggers and develop strategies for dealing with situations we find challenging.
This is an opportunity for academics of all career stages (post-doctorate/equivalent research experience and above) to discuss any aspect of research funding and bid development with the Research Development Team.

This interactive and practical workshop explores how we can reframe EDI both from a personal and systemic perspective and begin having more meaningful conversations and allowing people to both understand ‘inclusive leadership’ and develop personal strategies to ensure individual and systemic biases are effectively managed.
Two half day workshops, ‘Communicating Well’ and ‘Personal Brand and Influencing for Impact’ that can be attended stand-alone or as a two part programme, with content that layers to build personal performance and capability to unlock outcomes at work.
Training sessions to provide staff with an understanding of the mitigating circumstance process, the remit of the panel, evidence, and tutor statements.
This session is open to all staff and will introduce key ideas and information about trans-related matters.
This training is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project and upon completion, attendees can apply for a certificate to verify their ‘Carbon Literacy’.
