Check your Tax code online via Gov.uk

As we draw close to the end of the current tax year, HM Revenue and Customs are sending individuals and employers new notice of coding for the tax year commencing 6th April 2020.

To check your tax code to ensure you are paying the right amount of tax, please register for My Personal Tax Account. This is a great way of amending your information with HMRC along with:

– Check your Income Tax estimate and tax code
– Fill in, send and view a personal tax return
– Claim a tax refund
– Check and manage your tax credits
– Check your State Pension
– Track tax forms that you’ve submitted online
– Check or update your Marriage Allowance
– Tell HMRC about a change of address
– Check or update benefits you get from work, for example company car details and medical insurance
– Find your National Insurance number
