Impact on Energy and Net Zero policy – Monday 27 January 12pm – 3pm Brayford Campus

The Policy Hub are pleased to announce Natascha Engel from Palace Yard will be delivering a half-day workshop for academics and research staff on using their energy and net zero research and reports to influence government policy at national level as well as connecting with regional energy policy on the Humber estuary.

The workshop will include developments in decarbonising electricity, heating, transport, looking at policy evolutions under a new government.

We will look at opportunities in Parliament and Government that have the greatest impact, and the work that is happening in think tanks and local groups.

Natascha Engel was a Labour MP from 2005 to 2017 during which time she chaired the backbench business select committee and served as Deputy Speaker. Since leaving Parliament, Natascha worked at policy and public opinion agency, Public First, and set up Palace Yard to provide succinct and accessible briefings to policymakers on complex and sometimes controversial issues.
