1. Arts + Culture: We are looking for a London-based expert in the art of Ed Atkins to attend the press view of his upcoming show at The Tate Britain on the morning of April 1.

Timescale: ASAP | Contact: Naomi Joseph

2. Arts + Culture: We’d like to hear from researchers who look at masculinity and the “manosphere” to recommend books for parents to read to young children featuring positive role models. Each academic should pick one title, which they’ll write 150 words about. Keen to hear from researchers from a host of different backgrounds.

Timescale: ASAP | Contact: Anna Walker

3. Arts + Culture: We are looking for an expert in women and beauty to write a piece about the arduous things women have done over time to maintain their looks. This is pegged to “the morning shed” routine, which has gone viral on TikTok. We are also interested in hearing from feminist scholars on this topic.

Timescale: ASAP | Contact: Naomi Joseph

4. Science + Technology: We’re looking for an expert to write about how far domestic dogs are from becoming feral following reports of pampered dachshund that went “feral” and “impossible to catch” after escaping its owners.

Timescale: ASAP | Contact: Jenna Hutber

5. Science + Technology: [REPEATED] We’re looking for an expert who could explain the importance of the discovery of the longest chain carbon molecules yet found on Mars.

Timescale: ASAP | Contact: Paul Rincon

6. Environment + Energy: Bottom trawling – fishing by dragging a heavy net across the seafloor – is responsible for “hidden” carbon emissions, according to a new study in Science Advances. The authors say bottom trawling disturbs the seabed and reduces its alkalinity production, which in turn means the ocean stores less carbon. Looking for an expert to write about this study and the climate consequences of disturbing the seafloor.

Timescale: Friday (6pm embargo) | Contact: Will de Freitas
